Do You Travel? Or Do You Not?

Why do you travel? Some do it for fun, for the want and curiosity to see a different side of the world, others do it to get away from routine, to disconnect from the mundane.

Some travel in the hopes of finding themselves along the way…and you?

Why do you travel?

Or maybe you don’t.

Maybe you are content right where you are without the need to get up and go, without the urge to see something new.

I’ve heard of people like that.

It seems strange to me, how can someone not have the need to just go somewhere they have never been to before?

Even if just to get out of the routine, of the day to day.

Some people are content with their surroundings and feel no need to travel outside of their city or state.

And yet here I am, always intrigued and desperate to see more, to taste more, to feel more from new places and new cultures, to become a storyteller of places I once visited.

Because those stories become part of me and who I am.

I hope this hunger to travel the world stays with me even when I’m older and that I can pass it on to those after me.

Thank you! Why do you hate hotels? There are many other options on where to stay when you travel that doesn’t necessarily have to be a hotel. It can be an Airbnb or staying with a friend or family who is currently living abroad, that always works for me.
