A Weekend Getaway to Nashville, Tennessee

This new year started with a weekend getaway to Nashville, TN. Exploring and adventure! There’s nothing like a plane ride to disconnect from the routine and reconnect to what matters in life.

Home of the honky-tonk and whiskey for the weekend!

We started our trip with brunch at Nashville Jams; you will want to try their hot chicken but beware it’s spicy!

It was fun to see lots of boots and cowboy hats as we walked around.

One of the things I loved from Nashville was that every place we walked into, no matter the time, there was a live band on every floor!

You have to love Country music to enjoy this city because it is all you’ll hear. We walked around all over Broadway, visiting different bars around there like Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk, Johnny Cash’s Kitchen & Saloon, and Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar. They all had multiple floors, and on each floor, you could find a live band playing the best music to sing and dance along.

We were expecting a snowstorm, but luckily, we only had a snow day, which I was looking forward to. I woke up early to see the snow falling and covering the grass and cars. This was the first time I saw snow, and I was excited about a snowball fight with my friends. Once outside, we couldn’t wait to start throwing snow at each other.

Although it wasn’t the seven inches that the Weather App had promised, we still had enough snow to get in a snowball fight again after touring The Parthenon museum at Centennial Park.

Nachos covered in pork, BBQ sauce and jalapeños.

The next day was just too cold to function, haha. But, we couldn’t leave Nashville without visiting Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge and grabbing some coffee at the Three Brothers Coffee; they had the best Chai Latte.

This getaway was a fun and great time, especially with friends.
Yeehaw!
